Business Analyst - Web Based Application

Government Department based in Melbourne is currently looking for experienced Business Analyst to work on the upgrade/replacement of their custom web based application.

Responsibilities of this role will include:

- Analyse the current system and associated applications in order to determine strengths and limitations of each.
- Work with the business areas to determine business and functional system requirements for 2014 and beyond
- Analyse the benefits, risks and costs associated with a) maintaining b) upgrading or c) replacing the system.
- Work with the Solutions Architect and intenral IT team to determine impacts on current systems and potential timeframes
- Develop detailed business requirements
- Work with the Project Manager to develop a business case to ensure systems can be delivered according to tight project timeframes

Skills and experience required for the role include:

- At least 5 years Business Analysis experience.
- Experience working on public facing web projects would be highly regarded
- Experience in analysing business needs to develop business requirements, use cases and functional specifications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
