BUSINESS ANALYST, WEALTH MANAGEMENT, ENGLISH

For our client, one of the most instantly recognizable brands in the banking sector, Swisslinx are looking for a highly experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of portfolio management, wealth management and investment products to lead a team of 10 IT specialists for a new 6 month contract in Zurich with a strong potential for extension.

This is a 6 month contract starting ASAP starting in November/December 2015.

Working on a long term project to develop and enhance a tool for portfolio advisory and management you will work in a core project team of over 100 IT specialists you will be responsible for the following:

- Leading and driving the Business Engineering for further development of a business critical application
- Leading a team of 10 business engineers
- Achieving a clear understanding of business goals and needs within the context of business processes
- Providing oversight about new requests, dependencies and maintaining the backlog for the program
- Lead pre-studies, offerings, estimates and conceptual work within different business initiatives
- Working closely with business partners and the IT team (eg architects, solution engineers and testers) to ensure common understanding
- Acting as a trusted advisor to our business partners
- Managing stakeholders and establishing effective communication channels with them
- Support and coach team in eliciting, analysing, developing, validating and managing requirements during the whole project life cycle
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- 10+ years experience as a business analyst or requirements engineer in the banking industry
- Proven track record leading small teams, ideally in global organizations
- Strong theoretical and practical financial know-how (especially wealth management, investment products, portfolio analysis and portfolio risk management)
- Experience using requirements engineering tools and methods (eg Use Case modelling, UML) in an agile environment
- Experience in working with agile methods (Scrum)
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English language (German strongly beneficial)
