For a long term project at our insurance client in Zurich we are looking for an experienced
BUSINESS ANALYST W/DATA MANAGEMENT AND DATA FLOW EXPERIENCE/SOLVENCY II (2988)
The Solvency II Directive is an EU Directive that codifies and harmonises the EU insurance regulation. Our client is currently working on the road map for the implications on data reporting and data quality that will take our client into 2020. As part of this undertaking, all current insurance contracts will have to be analyzed and split up into their individual components in order to derive the necessary information needed under Solvency II.
The role of the BA in this project is to set up the project plan along with the major stakeholders, define the parameters for the baseline study and mapping what departments within the insurance will be affected and how. At the core of his or her work will be data quality management, data analysis and mapping data flows. One of the main questions that needs to be answered is where and how the data is flowing now, and how it should do so in the future, with Solvency II implemented.
We are looking for a strong Business Analyst with the following qualifications:
- At least five years of hands on Business Analysis experience, preferably in the insurance industry (pharma or other highly regulated industries also qualify)
- Experience working with regulatory issues
- Experience working on projects that dealt with data management, data quality and data flows/process mapping
- Senior stakeholder management abilities, must be able to deal with senior management and report to senior management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong affinity to IT and finance
- Flexibility to travel
- Higher education in informatics and economy
- Fluent written and spoken English, German and any other language is a clear advantage
