Business Analyst - Up to 12 Positions

Our client, a large federal government department is seeking upto 12 EXPERIENCED BUSINESS ANALYSTS FOR an initial 12 MONTH CONTRACT with a 12 month extension option. The successful applicants will be required to document business requirements and develop technical solutions that support those requirements by working closely with business and other teams. As well as produce high and low-level business specifications that document business processes that model and specify the problem and design the solution, in collaboration with other production support or project team members.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

- provide guidance on interpretation of business requirements and systems/technical documentation
- identify system, development or support issues in collaboration with technical staff
- track, analyse and assist in the prioritisation of change requests or errors, risks and issues
- thoroughly assess impacts of change request or errors, and suggest solutions and mitigation strategies
- apply the clients design, system developments and maintenance methodologies
- conduct or assist in IT impact assessments and costing for applications projects
- interpret business requirements into applications systems design artefacts
- work as an effective team member; share knowledge and information with the team and help others meet team priorities

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:

- An understanding of, or the ability to quickly acquire, knowledge of the business with the ability to capture complex requirements and the systems and administrative process in the ATO
- Demonstrated ability to elicit and analyse IT, business and functional requirements in alignment with organisational and industry standards, and translate these requirements into specifications for IT solutions
- Proven ability to understand, analyse and communicate IT system processes, technology, infrastructure and specifications to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated understanding of IT design, system development and maintenance methodologies, including the ability to assess and explain the impact of proposed changes on existing processes
