HUDSON IT & TELECOMS ARE SEEKING AN BUISNESS ANALYST/UAT MANAGER FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE IN DUBLIN CITY CENTER.

This role is a critical link between the business areas, vendor technical teams and IT. It is expected that the EMI Business Analyst/UAT manager and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Business Project manager will liaise on a regular basis to ensure Business activities and expectations and delivery activities and expectations are aligned.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Business Project Manager

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is twofold:

- Understand and manage the business requirements for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Business Access Layer (BAL) Requirements Gathering and Management
- Business Non-Functional Requirements, including security and access requirements
- Business access to and reporting on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Metadata
- Business reporting requirements including integrating with appropriate BI and other reporting tools
- Go-Live Readiness - ensuring Business and IT readiness for each implementation
- User Acceptance Test Management
- Gathering and critiquing Business and IT Readiness Criteria
- Tracking progress against Business and IT Readiness Criteria

Key Responsibilities:

Understand and manage the business requirements for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW):

Manage the engagement with the business to support the business in documenting business functional and non-functional requirements for the BI toolset. Requirements documentation should:

- Explain all known, planned usage of the functionality to be delivered including specific inclusions or exclusions from the feature set
- Be specific, complete, and appropriate to the target audiences which are the development team, life cycle support team and the business users who own the requirements
- Address requirements for the Business Access Layer (BAL) tier and for downstream BI applications (including non-functional requirements and security/access requirements).
- Identify high level validation criteria from the business user's point of view that will translate into UAT requirements.
- Act as the liaison point between business and IT Subject Matter Experts where queries/issues require both parties to come together

Manage the project Requirements Traceability Matrix, which should be the single definitive catalogue of business requirements to be delivered by the project.

Actively engage with business and IT on the one hand and with vendor design & development teams on the other to ensure proper validation and sign-off on the design of the solutions to be delivered.

Support the business to ensure that requirements are articulated in a way that facilitates test design and execution. Facilitate business users in documenting and executing UAT and OAT test scenarios and test cases.

Identify, track and manage risks, actions and issues that arise throughout this role, communicating and escalating to the Business Project Manager as appropriate.

Go-Live Readiness:

Manage each of the business go-live activities prior to each implementation into production:

- User Acceptance Testing preparation, execution and sign-off
- Confirming Business and IT readiness criteria for each implementation
- Tracking progress and confirming the completeness of each of the Business and IT readiness criteria

Experience Required:

- Capturing business requirements for the Business Access Layer (BAL) for an Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Managing the UAT of Business Access Layer(BAL) for a Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Working in a retail Bank
