For our banking client in Zurich we are looking for a Business analyst in the trading area

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Location: Zurich

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

A Private Bank's global system to monitor all trading exposure is used by credit Officers, Relationship Managers and Traders. It covers open transactions in the area of foreign exchange, precious metals, interest derivatives, traded option and futures, and money market loans for private and retail clients, corporate clients, and interbank trading. To transform TLS into the "new normal" regulatory state, the TLS Risk Change team is looking for reinforcement on the Business side.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Identifying and documenting business requirements from key business stakeholders
- Responsibility for timely resolution of ongoing regulatory and industry group outcomes and other events on business requirements
- Working in partnership with key stakeholders and programs to define business solutions that deliver requirements
- Working effectively in and leading working groups with diverse Business stakeholders to ensure requirements and priorities are successfully met
- Conducting deep dive analyses, gap analyses and proposing responses
- Providing direction and oversight to IT business analysts developing functional specifications that meet business requirements
- Providing up-to-date status report throughout the release cycle
- Overseeing, performing, supporting and managing business testing and user acceptance testing activity

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Essential

Technical:

- Relevant business analysis experience within banking and financial services - on the business side
- Strong understanding on front to back systems, data, calculations and processes within an Investment Banking and/or Private Banking environment
- Track record of sourcing, defining and documenting clear and comprehensive requirements
- University degree (Bachelor degree or higher)
- Experienced user of MS Office toolset
- English written and verbal communication

Soft skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; numerically competent
- Effective stakeholder management, experience in facing senior business stakeholders, and ability to engage with quantitative experts
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness of delivery
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work with little supervision
- Proven ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner (written and verbal)
- Effective time management - able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Good team player - the team has a reputation of being able to deliver with quality and upholding these high standards individually and as a team will be given high priority

Desired

- Knowledge about banking, processes and IT landscape
- Recognized relevant professional qualification (eg CFA, MBA, CA, risk certification)
- Familiarity with business processes, financial products, credit risk management and regulatory requirements (eg Basel II/III; BCBS)
