Business Analyst - TFS (Team Foundation Server)

Function Description: Candidate must be analytical, and should be able to function within an abstract environment.

Candidate will be required to work within a team of circa. 20 colleagues.

The role:

The Business Analyst is the primary contact with our stakeholders and is responsible for identifying, modelling, documenting and prioritizing the functional and non-functional requirements of the business and business domain details. The Business Analyst represents customer and end-user concerns by gathering input from stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved and by capturing and setting priorities for requirements. They may also help to identify potential areas of automation and support or advise the business in reengineering the underlying business process. The Business Analyst acts as the liaison between our customers and IT in order to deliver effective and cost-efficient solutions and is proactively involved in the entire software development process in order to ensure successful delivery of the system or release.

Tasks, deliverables and responsibilities
Your primary work area is system improvement and process and information modelling/analysis in one or two functional domain(s). If required you create and maintain business process and information models. You are responsible for requirements documentation and assist in developing, testing and deploying the solution. You are self-starting and can work independently but also in a team with other BAs and other disciplines. You can act as lead BA within a project, where you can initiate, manage and coordinate BA work. You also keep the whole project team focussed on delivering the planned user stories in time.

You are able to facilitate planning meeting with stakeholders and to clearly explain requirements
You proactively liaise with stakeholders to elicit and implement requirements to avoid delays in the project
You are able to obtain, organize, and relay requirements, ideas and opinions clearly, comprehensibly and correctly (in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing). You have working knowledge of User Stories, Use Case diagrams and Use Case specifications.
You have knowledge of and experience with wholesale and retail banking and ICT in general and Risk Management and Reporting in particular (so keywords like PD, LGD, Basel are more than familiar to you) and a pro active eagerness to watch trends and developments within the domain to identify new business opportunities.
You have significant business intelligence, data warehouse, Datamodelling and information modelling experience. So keywords like DataVault, Kimball, star schema, dimensions are more than familiar to you.
You use your domain knowledge and judgment and communication skills to challenge our customers' questions and proposed solutions.
You have knowledge of and experience with software engineering methodologies, preferably OpenUp/Agile/RUP.
You have experience with using workshops to elicit requirements or facilitate decision making.
You have at least 5 years of experience working as a business analyst.
