BUSINESS ANALYST/IT BUSINESS ANALYST

ABOUT THE BUSINESS ANALYST POSITION

A Business Analyst is required to work in one of Fidelity's most established, yet change focussed Technology divisions. Working as a Business Analyst you will be working with our Pensions community up to Board level, using a variety of elicitation techniques to gather requirements, map and model data and make systems recommendations to improve operational efficiencies across the Pensions portfolio. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work outside of London, with free on-site parking available.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE BUSINESS ANALYST

Reporting into the Programme Lead, you will ensure that all Business Analysis activities are managed according to internal policy and best practice. Establishing Project Plans, engaging stakeholders to capture and map target business AS-IS process and carrying out gap analysis against the proposed TO-BE state, you will be a key resource in the successful delivery of our projects.

You will also be required to investigate and carry out data maps, models and analysis to understand the data source, input and value to the business, whilst recommending process efficiencies to improve reporting and improve systems efficiencies.

Working in an Agile Delivery environment the successful Business Analyst will be responsible for Solution Design of Bespoke Development of 3rd Party Vendor applications with our off-shore Development teams.

KEY SKILLS & BACKGROUND REQUIRED FOR THE BUSINESS ANALYST

We are looking for a Business Analyst who wants to enhance their experience across Financial Services and Asset Management Systems specifically. You will have excellent experience working across Projects that have challenging landscapes and enjoy getting your hands dirty with major deliveries as well as smaller process driven projects.

You will enjoy delivering a first class stakeholder experience, no matter the size or complexity of the project and take thrive in taking part in Business Analysis and Development activities across the Project Lifecycle including:

- Business Analysis experience and execution of Project Methodologies - particularly Agile.
- Financial Services and/or Consultancy experience within Financial Services experience.
- Good understanding of data and Datamodelling to assist with systems integration planning
- Business Analysis qualification (eg ISEB) or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Finance Systems and business functions.
- Proficient in MS Visio
- Process mapping standards egg IDEF0, SIPOC
- Project life cycle: Waterfall and Agile
- Knowledge of XML
