LOCATION: BASEL, SWITZERLAND
DURATION: 3 MONTH + EXTENDABLE
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ROLE: TECHNICAL WRITER
Seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Technical Writer to join the STRIDE project DaVinci team. The ideal candidate is well versed about quality writing techniques, problem solving, is detail oriented and has the ability to learn quickly and deliver quality technical documentation in a timely manner. The candidate needs to be a good team player with strong communication skills but also able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Flexibility to handle a demanding, possibly shifting, re-prioritized workload is key.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and write supporting project quality documents for project deliverables
- Ability to work with computer hardware engineers, software designers and developers and interpret the flow of information among project work groups during development and testing.
- Design and document technical solutions based on business processes using diagraming tools (Visio).
- Ability to understand complex information and communicate the information to people with diverse professional backgrounds.
- Use and/or develop photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users' understanding
- Contribute to standardized technical content across documentation deliverables
- Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, and frequently asked questions pages to help technical support staff, business users, and other consumers of the DaVinci product suite.
- Revise documents as new issues arise
- Communicate with team members in a global, multi-national environment
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer Science Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical degree, minimum
- 7+ years technical writing experience
- Strong technical background and full understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Deep understanding of requirements gathering for inputs to User Requirements, Functional Specification, Technical Design Document, requirements traceability, product backlog, unit test plan, test scripts, administrative manual, and user manual)
- Good knowledge of Business Process data/design flow mapping
- Serve as part of a team working closely with Quality Manager, Project Manager, Business Information Manager and IT Technical Delivery Stream leads to progress deliverables to meet aggressive deadlines to maintain project timelines.
- Work closely with IT Technical Delivery Stream teams to gather design and testing requirements to fulfil computer system validation activities.
- Excellent English language skills
- Experience developing and writing test specifications for installation, operational and performance qualification documents, (IQ, OQ, PQ).
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification in Technical Writing
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences industry
