Business Analyst - Technical

DUTIES:

- Software and technical support for a Geospatial Information System (GIS) viewer and it's various components. Support includes answering client tickets and calls as well as contacting the vendor for resolution of the issue. In some cases minor development may be necessary to fix the issue.
- Providing system knowledge during a project to replace the GIS viewer; including coordinating system needs between the vendor and to internal IT infrastructure and architecture resources.
- Documenting system requirements, including writing technical specifications of system replacement
- Understanding interfaces between the GIS viewer and ancillary systems
- This is primarily a project coordinator/liaison role with the other portion being support.

SKILLS:

- 1-2 years development experience in Java
- Development in VB.NET, understanding of Perl and WebSphere MQ
- Familiarity with databases (SQL Server and Oracle), knowledge of database replication would be a plus

EDUCATION:

- Degree in computer science
