The Senior Business Writer (Analyst) is responsible for working closely with the IT crisis management team, process owners, business analysts, and other team members to create and develop clear, concise, and accurate documentation for core crisis management processes. Must be organized, thorough, detail oriented, and able to manage and produce multiple work products in a timely manner. A successful candidate will be able to handle concurrent responsibilities and projects. The position requires someone who thrives in an environment of rapid change, minimal structure, and high expectations. The writer must be familiar with publishing projects using Microsoft Suite of business tools including Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.

Senior Business Writer
CONTRACTOR - 8-week duration
The Senior Business Writer (Contractor) is responsible for working closely with the IT crisis management team, process owners, business analysts, and other team members to create and develop clear, concise, and accurate documentation for core crisis management processes. Must be organized, thorough, detail oriented, and able to manage and produce multiple work products in a timely manner. A successful candidate will be able to handle concurrent responsibilities and projects. The position requires someone who thrives in an environment of rapid change, minimal structure, and high expectations. The writer must be familiar with publishing projects using Microsoft Suite of business tools including Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.

Profile:
This candidate must be a self-starter with exceptional written communication skills. Must be organized, thorough, personable, detail oriented, and self-motivated. Will need to possess a can do attitude, but know how to set limits, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Able to develop and organize information into high-quality and professional process documents. This candidate must have the ability to glean information quickly from SME's and multiple team members to develop first-class process guides and documentation. A positive attitude, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, is necessary to meet the expectations of our corporate culture. The position will reside in our Pleasanton, California office.

Qualifications:
Highly skilled in writing process and procedure documentation in common terms
Exceptional written communication skills
Impeccable editing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
Extensive experience formatting documentation to present a professional, consistent company-wide look and feel
Working knowledge of crisis management and business continuity concepts
Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
Ability to adhere to the styles and standards set for professional documentation and to create new styles and standards when necessary
Ability to meet deadlines
BA or BS required plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop (write, format, publish) process guides, including flow charts, that are clear, concise, readable, and readily understood by readers
Edit crisis management plan, processes and documents for consistency, integration, terminology, and other considerations
Produce high-quality and professionally polished documentation
Apply best information design and writing practices for issues such as using simple, concise writing; writing for multiple audiences; clear and consistently structuring reference materials; and so on
Work with crisis management team to gain a thorough knowledge of program to document processes
