Business Analyst/Smyrna/6-8 Month Contract

We are looking for a strong BA to join our team for a long-term contract in Smyrna. This person will help to create user friendly web applications for both our customers and our internal customer service people. You will work on a team during this implementation interacting with the business owners to specify requirements and create functional specifications, design user-friendly application screens, map data from the old and new systems into a new web application. You will also participate in solution definition and system verification, work with QA to test the new implementation, and at times, direct the work of other business analysts and teams of IT professionals. You should have proven experience in designing and redesigning complex application UIs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Analyzing, understanding and translating business needs into functional requirements to use for technical design and configuration.
- Working with the business owners to specify requirements and create functional specifications.

Develop wireframe prototyped designs, refining and changing them as needed.

Create flow charts of task flows and information architecture for the product features

Map data from multiple Back End applications to support the new Front End web app.

Assist application users by tracking, analysing and solving user problems based on an understanding of business process workflow within the application.

Provide support to users for the technical aspects of application utilities and functions, such as reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4 year degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the configuration and/or development of business application software.
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases required. Oracle DB experience preferred.
- Experience creating wireframes and process flows to support design and development efforts
- Experience mapping data between systems
- Exposure/experience leading a team.
- Ability to engage functional, technical, and support personal to complete to company objectives on-time.
- Excellent technical and communication skills.
- A team oriented, self motivating personality is required.
