Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst-Technology

The Technology Transfer Division maximises the impact of research on health through the development of innovations to the point at which they can be further developed by the market. To do this, Technology Transfer manages funds for translation projects across the spectrum of biomedical science.

Achievements include product launches, company IPOs and licensing transactions with multi-nationals. In excess of £500M has been leveraged in co- or follow-on investment.

Technology Transfer is seeking to appoint a Business Analyst, or in the case of an exceptional candidate a Senior Business Analyst, who will be involved in the Health Innovation, Seeding Drug Discovery, Translation and Strategic funds. The role will require you to work as part of a team promoting Technology Transfer's translation activities and be responsible for undertaking due diligence of proposals, evaluating their anticipated commercial exits and project managing the Wellcome Trust's interests in key projects. You will interface with the business/scientific media and a network of internal and external scientific, legal, regulatory and commercial experts and will be involved in intellectual property management and transaction negotiation.

You should possess a PhD in the biomedical, physical or digital sciences with post-doctoral R you will need to be able to engage in critical analyses of applied research projects, manage complex stakeholder situations and possess a creative approach to problem solving. You must demonstrate an enthusiasm for delivering healthcare outcomes.

This position is offered on a contract of up to 12 months to cover for maternity leave.
