It offers supporting services to financial institutions, individuals, the Belgian governement, etc. Function Description

The business analyst will be responsible for:
• Detailed identification, analysis, description and validation of both existing business processes and new functional needs of the users (user requirements/identifying different solutions);
• He formulates propositions to improve different aspects of the business processes to come to, cost-reductions, better functionalities for our customers and make a better use of the disposable resources;
• working closely together with the functional analyst, in order to validate the proposed choices/solutions;
• In a last stage, the consultant will produce all documentation needed throughout the earliest stages of projects; following the case this will be in English and in Dutch and/or French.

The business analyst is responsible for delivering, with respect of the deadlines of:
• a description of the business context "as is"
• proposals for "to be",
• the requirements of IT and people (in sort & number). Skills
• At least 3 years' proven experience in Business Process modeling and design;
• At least 3 years' experience in project management;
• proving his initiative was "key" in the successful completion of a pertinent project.

Technical skills:
• Advanced skills of Access or SAS in combination with SQL;
• Good skills of Microsoft packages Excel, Word, Outlook
• Documented experience with the file-format "XBRL" is an advantage.

Business skills:
• Proven competences related with accountancy and financial analysis;
• Proven experience as a business analyst in projects;
• ability to determine what the system or product has to do and to identify the opportunities IT-solutions can bring into this;
• ability to evaluate, prioritize and optimize the business processes and functions;
• ability to communicate with project stakeholders (good command of business language).

Analytical skills:
• knowledge of (different) modelling techniques for:
o gathering the user requirements
o identification of the related technical requirements
o and proposal optimisations
• capable of working at a conceptual level;
• possess analytical skills necessary for understanding and analyzing problems, proposal solutions and to assess the specific requirements of the proposed (alternative) solution(s);
• have a business process-oriented vision.

Writing and managerial skills:

• ability to formally document the correctly compiled requirements in writing. These requirements need to be understood and used by the various project stakeholders;
• communication skills:interviewing
• familiar with the basic concepts of project management;
• planning and organizational abilities (time management);
• customer oriented : knowing what our customers are heading for
• ready to write documents respecting the huge customer-standards. Conditions

Safir Consulting is offering you a freelance contract for 1 year with possible extension.
The assignement will start 15.03.2016, interviews are planned on 22.02.2016.
