SUMMARY

The Change function assists the business to deliver change whilst minimising the impact and risk to business functions. We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to join this team and help deliver our change portfolio.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the business delivery of required business outcomes to time, cost and quality. The Business Analyst will work with the project and business stakeholders to define business goals, objectives and requirements for one or more business change projects.

PROJECT BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES

This role is for a Business Analyst to join the ISA Programme. The BA must have experience of working on regulatory projects, ideally delivering changes within ISA products. The primary objectives of the BA will be to work with the project team and business stakeholders to:

Support in the definition of the scope of the ISA Programme

Elicit and document detailed business requirements including system and business changes
-

Identify and develop internal processes and procedures to support changes to ISA products
-

Identify changes to customer facing literature and materials to support changes to ISA products
-

Support any other analysis activities required by the programme

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-

Works with the Business Architecture or Senior Business Analyst to understand the business problem/opportunity, ensuring that the rationale (cost/benefits) for undertaking the Project is clear and worthwhile

Supports the effective estimation, planning and management of business analysis activities, in consultation with the Project Manager and/or Senior Business Analyst.

Supports the assessment of options and considers the business impact for innovative business solutions
-

Leads on the design and development of business processes and procedures including involvement in Risk Analysis, seeking support from Senior Business Analyst when required.

Works with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers to establish requirements, acquire agreement and define acceptance criteria, seeking support from Senior Business Analyst when required.

Defines clear, unambiguous requirements that adhere to business objectives and enable the design stage to evolve, seeking support from Senior Business Analyst when required.

Identifies risks of recommended solutions and proposes ways to manage those risks

Ensures traceability between agreed business requirements and the completed design

Supports test planning/user acceptance testing ensuring that defects in processes are identified and resolved

Support implementation/roll out planning and activities

Support training and communications planning and activities
-

Act in accordance with regulatory body requirements as appropriate

Ensure TCF outcomes for the customers and highlighting any perceived shortcomings documented

Ensure all customer processes are designed and delivered to meet TCF outcomes
- Performs other duties, including aspects of project management, from time to time and as directed by the Business Analyst Managers

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS

Experience of working on regulatory projects
-

Workshop facilitation and ability to drive quality outputs
-

Experience of business analysis delivering quality artefacts on budget and on time
-

A sound understanding of business analysis methodologies and documentation
-

Ability to manage relationships with business partners and 3rd parties
-

The ability to think strategically and deliver pragmatically
-

Controls and risk management experience and knowledge
-

A sound understanding of the Financial Services industry would be of benefit, including business, operating and technology models
-

Be familiar with Six Sigma, Agile, Lean and other appropriate methodologies
-

Have previous experience of process documentation and re-engineering
