ROLE - Business Analyst

DURATION - 5 months

LOCATION - Hove, Chester

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role will be mainly involved within the collections and recoveries migration and the supporting of downstream management information for the supporting systems.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Typical business analysis activity includes planning, eliciting, analysing, defining, communicating and validating requirements for changes to structures, business operations and processes, product and service offerings, policies and information systems. May manage a small team.

- Requirements Management: Defines and manages the documentation of business requirements (including requirements catalogues and traceability matrices) and prepares business case underpinning solution options.
- Solution Assessment & Validation: Understands and articulates the effect of proposed solutions, creating accurate and detailed as-is and to-be business models incorporating process and benefit analysis, people and customer impact assessment. Develops cross business and service user acceptance plans and communications to support implementation.
- Consultancy Advice & Domain Knowledge: Maintains good knowledge of an individual business/product area and working knowledge of additional business/product areas, providing business analysis insight for ad hoc queries, consulting requests, independent reviews and management of quality assurance activity.
- Stakeholder Management: Engages a variety of stakeholders across priority business/product areas, owning and gathering specification input, delivering high quality work and maintaining relationships post project close.
- Risk: Owns resolution of business analysis issues, identifying and managing mitigating actions against design risks as directed by the Lead Business Analyst.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Previous experience of Financial Industry
- Previous experience of working on large complex change initiatives with multiple sites and stakeholders
- Demonstrated history/career of Business Analyst skills
- Previous experience of working as an analyst on a migration project
- Requirements traceability and management
- Has the ability to uses a range of methods and analytical techniques to elicit and validate detailed requirements with stakeholders to gain their approval and to distinguish between different types of requirements (eg functional, non-functional)
- Is able to break up complex information and present it in a logical way
- Can define effective acceptance tests for solutions
- Has the ability to understand business needs and to translate them into project objectives and business goals
- Understands and can apply and monitor the use of appropriate analysis of processes, methods and tools
