ROLE - Business Analyst

DURATION - 6 months

LOCATION - Cardiff

OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAMME

A number of projects are waiting to be initiated - these projects will sit within the following product areas..

- Consumer Credit Cards
- Commercial Credit Cards
- Acquiring Solutions - Processing of merchant payments (typically via the physical 'point of sale' terminals in retail stores)

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Accountabilities:

- Requirements Elicitation: Leads, designs and facilitates business engagements to establish scope, business needs, project objectives, outcomes and expectations on business processes.
- Requirements Development: Ensures that quality business requirements are elicited, documented, accepted and approved by key stakeholder so that effective solutions can be delivered.
- Requirements Management: Oversees end to end traceability against quality business requirements using appropriate tools and templates.
- Solution Assessment & Validation: Engages with key stakeholders to influence the solution design to meet business goals, scope and strategy requirements. Provides input into the identification and delivery of project benefits, traceability of requirements and impact of solutions. Develops cross business and service user communications, acceptance test plans and supports testing and implementation.
- Consultancy Advice & Domain Knowledge: Develops good knowledge across a number of individual business/product areas, understanding interdependency and the impact of change to provide informed consultancy advice, independent review and quality assurance.
- Structure Approach: Defines the project objectives, scopes overall approach, plans and completes standard Change documentation and tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain networks with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence and support the delivery of projects and champions the business analysis function.
- Peopleobjectives, high-level deliverables, critical success factors and strategic alignment
-The ability to map as is' business processes using a range of tools (including Microsoft Visio)
-The ability to document and communicate to be' business processes to a wide and diverse range of stakeholders
-The ability to elicit requirements (using a wide range of techniques) from the business and document them to a high standard
-The ability to provide full traceability from scoping material trough to solution documents
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Microsoft Office skills
- Experience of Consumer and Commercial Credit Cards is desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Visio and RRC (Rational Requirements Composer)
