ROLE - Business Analyst - PPI - Northampton - £350/day

OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE

Our client, a leading UK retail bank require the services of a Business Analyst who will be required to carry out methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions, operating model, systems and process.

The role will cover all stages of the End to End project life cycle including:

- Definition of requirements for improving any of the above and qualifications of potential business benefits
- Creation of viable specification and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of business change deliverables.

Design:  As part of the delivery of process change, the Business Analyst will:

- Provide support to business process design and business process analysis functions on projects
- Comply with agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistent high standard of documentation and ensure strong governance, sharing knowledge and providing feedback and ideas so that performance is continually improved.
- Define, develop and deliver process and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service is provided.
- Analyse and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.
- Identify and validate the key business requirements.
- Assist cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

- A detailed and through understanding of Business Analysis tools and techniques.
- Good analytical skills and attention to details.
- Business Process Improvement Techniques - Appropriate level of experience in techniques for streamlining business processes which have been modelled and understood. Examples include lean methodology, error proofing, value added assessment, process cycle time reduction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms to stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
- Strong negotiation skills to enable facilitation of issue resolution with key internal business customers.
- Quality and focused, creative, self-starter with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Enjoys challenges and is comfortable in a changing environment and adapt easily to new responsibilities and priorities.
- Ability to motivate others as well as peers and communicates effectively to peers
- Experience of working in a financial environment to understand financial business needs processes and controls.
