Business Analyst - Payments/Financial Services

My high-profile Global Payment Processing client is seeking a Business Analyst with experience of working in the Credit Cards Acquiring sector to undertake feasibility studies, business requirement gathering, impact/gap analysis and scenario planning on a significant business critical programme of work within a Greenfield environment.

As the ideal candidate you will be tasked to deliver against the following key criteria:

- Lead project stakeholders through the analysis phase, by facilitating interviews and workshops to identify changes to business processes and/or new processes
- Liaise with the project team to ensure the needs of the organisation are understood and met fully at all levels, and will support other functional areas in the completion of their tasks..
- Analyse the views captured and work with stakeholders to refine the actual business needs, identifying any problems and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Clearly define a comprehensive set of business requirements and business rules for a project in line with the business analysis methodology
- Work with the project team to define solutions, assess the suitability, cost and risk of each and recommend an option to the project sponsor.
- Manage traceability throughout the change life cycle, ensuring that each delivery stage of the project is meeting the business requirements.
- Hold business walkthroughs with other skill centres to ensure understanding of the project by other areas.
- Work with the Business Analysis team to ensure that the team is following best industry practice in business analysis, including updating BA methodologies, processes and deliverables.

As the ideal candidate you will have the following skills, knowledge, experience and background:

- Must be an experienced Payments professional who has previously worked as a Business Analyst in the Credit Cards Acquiring or Issuing sector
- Strong knowledge of Acquiring Billing Management Systems and Ops Finance essential.
- Have experience of Transaction Processing systems
- Experience in developing Use cases & User Stories
- Experience of full end-to-end project life cycle from Inception to Delivery
- Experience of platform migrations or business transformation programmes
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience in documented requirements for vendors quotations
- Understand at a high level the interface between complex business needs and the complex legal and regulatory environment in which the business operates
