Business Analyst - Oracle & Emerging Technologies

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Two positions are needed to assist team research, reconcile and create automated reporting of mass volume transactions related to Employee Giving and Matching Gift programs administered by third-party vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processing complex, large scale data sets used for modelling, data mining, research and reporting
Designing and implementing automation of data gathering and mining.
Designing and implementing statistical data quality procedures for new data sources
Performing statistical analyses in tools such as SAS, SPSS, R or Weka
Lead the proposed policies, procedures, systems, forms, and reports among all locations and departments and provide direction for defining process flows, business rules, and user requirements.

Robust financial analytical background with expert Microsoft Excel skills.
Advanced database platform development, management and automation experience.
Advanced skills in writing SQL queries in Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Teradata.
Advanced skills in developing MS Access forms, VB code, and SLQ queries and database.
Information Technology background and/or working conceptual knowledge of PL/SQL, Java, Oracle, ColdFusion and Adobe.
Ability to create data environments that are nimble, secure and forward-looking
Strong analytical skills; able to query, gather and analyze data for current and future visions.
Comprehensive understanding of budgeting theory and practice--including program and performance budgets; accounting and internal control; financial reporting and auditing--financial and performance.
Strong ability to combine data from dissimilar database platforms into a common reporting platform.
Responsiveness/timeliness/efficiency in interaction with clients and groups requesting data.
Experience in training others in a experiential way, deployment and implementation of processes and technology.
