Business Analyst (m/w) for Köln - Bonn

Currently we are searching for ONE candidate who is able to cover the following position:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
We are searching for a business analyst, who supports the daily operation, in a permanent employment.

YOUR TASKS:

- Act as a functional expert to elicitate, challenge and agree on business requirements
- Translate business requirements into well defined user requirements and give detailed judgement on business complexity to promote simplification
- Model the requirements into user stories (work items for Development team) with the appropriate set of artefacts
- Be responsible for the communication and cooperation between business and IT departments
- Develop working relationships within the wider IT community and with selected user groups
- Write and maintain best practice documentation and train key users
- Ensure level 1 and 2 support during transition life cycle (deployment) and level 3 support during operational life cycle
- Audit and review the use of the new systems to ensure the implementation of best practice processes
- For business requirements that span multiple applications, support the Project Manager to evaluate impact of requested changes      

YOUR PROFILE:

- Affinity to and good understanding of IT-systems
- Experience in service orientated software architecture
- Experience in analysing, describing and challenging processes and workflows
- Science based university degree or similar educational background
- Very good English and German language skills spelling and writing
- Efficient time management and high quality attitude
- Very good team and communication skills
- Preferable : experience in agile development methods (Scrum)
- Preferable: experience in User Interface Design
- Preferable: Knowledge of BPMN and UML
- Optional: experience in laboratory automation

- Operation site: Köln - Bonn      
- Duration: long-term
- Willingness to travel (20-30%)
