Business Analyst LDI (Liability Driven Investment)

For one of our clients we are looking for a BUSINESS ANALYST LDI (LIABILITY DRIVEN INVESTMENT).

THE BUSINESS ANALYST WILL:

- Gather and validate business requirements, based on discussion with the business stakeholders.
- Prioritize requirements, and understand the effort involved.
- Participate in the planning process along with the development team and the business stakeholders.
- Communicate with stakeholders (such as end users, other teams within the organization or external data providers) in order to arrive at a solution design.
- Document the solution design at a functional level, and communicate this to the development and test team.
- Co-ordinate with the test team to ensure that functional requirements are fully covered in testing.
- Co-ordinate and participate in UAT testing with business stakeholders, leading to UAT sign-off.
- Train end users on new features.

THE BUSINESS ANALYST POSSESSES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

- Sufficient domain knowledge/experience to understand, query and validate business requirements, and track these through the development process. Specifically:
- Detailed understanding of the investment process, including research, analysis, modelling, risk, performance and portfolio construction; understanding of liability driven investment.
- Detailed understanding of financial instruments and related information (eg ratings), and the ability to understand how this information is modelled and transmitted by various data sources.
- In depth knowledge of the specialised requirements, and processes of the following businesses: asset allocation, global balanced risk modelling, strategy application and portfolio construction techniques, absolute return products, fiduciary management. - Can analyse business requirements, derive functional requirements from these, and document them in the form of functional specifications to an agreed format and standard.
- Agile: has knowledge and experience of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum.
- Self-starter: able to understand/trace complex designs through documentation and/or code with minimal input.
- Pragmatic: capable of accepting the constraints imposed by existing solutions; proposing solutions that balance design criteria with practical end-user benefits.
- Pro-active: suggest solutions to problems; spot and flag potential problems.
- End-user facing: able to meet (and potentially negotiate with) stakeholders (end users) regarding solutions and timescales.
- Articulate: Can express concepts clearly and unambiguously in English (preferably in Dutch also). Can express software processes to end users in their own terms.

The Business Analyst will be able to demonstrate examples of the above skills from relevant work experience (ie BA experience in an asset management environment, typically of at least 2 years).
