BUSINESS ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Annapolis, MD

Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Data management skills
- Has basic knowledge of general business environment/operation and has general cost benefit awareness.
- Relational database use including accessing, generating queries using select, subselect, joins and correlated subqueries Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

What You'll Be Doing:
- Working with customers and business departments gathers requirements for customized solutions and provides alternative solutions.
- Creates and generates reports; research and analyze data and report trends to management/business partner.
- Documents systems, business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, project status, etc.
- Oversees projects for business departments and/or acts as a liaison/strategic partner between department and other entities, vendors, corporations and divisions to define business processes and/or generate, update and create various products, services and/or reports.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Provides training and support directly to customers.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Follows department processes and procedures and may make recommendations to these processes. - Achieves set objectives.
- Capable of working directly with both support and technical staff.
- Creating reports using Crystal Reports, MS SQL Server SRSS or other standard report tool

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two to five (2-5) years of directly related experience
- Multiple year experience with Crystal Reports or with SQL Server (this would include how to write standard queries, correlated subqueries, joins (inner and outer), create views, write T-SQL.)
- Ability to interview, formulate questions
- Good written and verbal communication skills in order to define parameters to meet business requirements
- Customer needs and data analysis
- Requirement and specification generation
- Customer support experience helpful
