Business Analyst ITIL 3

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS ANALYST WHO HAS A STRONG BACKGROUND WITH ITIL & WILL BE THE KEY TO ENSURING CORRECT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ITSM SERVICES WITHIN A LARGE GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Support service providers and key stakeholders to transition Incident, Problem, Change and Asset Management business practices to new best practice ITIL v 3 processes supported by the selected ITSM and Asset Management Solutions.
- Support the definition of data fields and processes required to collect accurate asset related information including hardware and software data.
- Assist in the development and review of policies and processes for the new system.
- Drive the design, documentation and development of business requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models that support key business processes and systems, and ensure project artefacts are kept current & managed in accordance with organisation document management protocols.
- Convene and facilitate workshops as necessary to derive required user requirements.
- Evaluate proposed system solutions in close liaison with system developers to ensure delivery of solutions is consistent with NSWPF expectations.
- Prepare system and user acceptance test plans and scripts and work with the Test Manager to ensure delivery of quality systems that meet NSWPF expectations.
- Review and analyse business processes, re-engineer as necessary to improve efficiency, effectiveness and/or usability using strategic analysis techniques and process models.
- Work as an effective team member in investigating and developing options and solutions while championing business needs.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Extensive experience implementing ITIL 3 (certification would be an advantage)
- Sound knowledge of ITSM services (including service catalogue)
- Strong hardware asset management in the role of a business analyst.
- Demonstrated experience in business process model using tools & techniques such as BPMN, Visio or System Architect.
- Extensive experience in the development of instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to develop & maintain strong working relationships with both internal & external parties
- Proven ability to use industry standard software testing tools & knowledge of testing methodologies
