Business Analyst, IPV, Product Control, Derivatives, Process Mapping

Tier one bank requires a Business Analyst to join their valuations team- which has operational responsibility for ensuring that all fair value positions are subject to independent valuation control (IPV), acts as a centre of excellence for valuation issues and also has a mandate covering policy, reserving and other valuation related issues.

Major Deliverables for the Programme are:

- Implementing Daily IPV process for Commodities, globally
- Implementing Daily IPV process for GFFX, globally
- Credit Daily IPV UAT

Requirements and Responsibilities:

- Strong relevant product knowledge (possibly gained in either a Product Control or IPV line role)- Money Markets and Derivatives
- Business analysis experience as a BA (possibly gained in either a Product Control or IPV line role)
- A good understanding of the full project life cycle - CTB function
- Management experience and ability to lead or coach other BAs
- Process mapping tools and techniques and ability to build use cases
- Driving the detail of the Target Operating Model (across organisational boundaries where necessary)
- Developing business requirements definition, documentation and sign off (current and future state) and process and data analysis
- Liaising with programme/project managers, client, functional analysts and developers to ensure the IT build is in line with the business requirements raised
- Defining testing requirements together with the Test Manager/Lead
- Developing low-level Prototyping solution in MS Access
- Undertaking project support and test management duties subject to experience/demand
- Undertaking quality assurance of project deliverables
- Providing direction to manage, develop and empower own resources to deliver excellence in Finance in a Matrix organization.
