Business Analyst - Investment Management - Luxembourg

Our client, a leading Investment Management company are currently reviewing their Finance Operations applications to consolidate holdings, rebates and revenue data (at a group level) and are looking for a Business Analyst with good Transfer Agency experience on an initial 6 month contract.

They are looking for the BA to be responsible for

Collecting high level requirements from business users:

- Collect, analyse and document large datasets (Excel, Access or SQL server)
- Writing functional specifications

This includes documenting:

- Application Process Flows
- User interface (if needed)
- Interface between systems (mapping definition)
- Validation rules
- Report specifications
- Interacting between business users, IT Developers and external data providers
- Creating and executing functional testing scenarios.
- Coordinating business work related to the project (UAT testing, reconciliation, etc.)
- Coordinating go-LIVE (pre- and post-LIVE tasks)

COMPULSORY EXPERIENCE:

- Four years' experience in a similar role;
- Written and spoken English. Other languages would be advantageous;
- Experience as a Business Analyst working on a range of projects during analysis, design, systems and functional testing, UAT and application implementation
- Experience gained within a Transfer Agency Department environment (particularly Straight Through Processing, SWIFT, commission payments processing and general accounting) would be extremely advantageous, as would knowledge of the European Mutual Fund Industry;
- Experience in working with large datasets (data manipulation/analysis);
- Experience in functional analysis based on business requirements;
- Understanding of the project life cycle;
- Experience of working with a structured project environment.
- 3-4 years full time experience of documenting, writing and analysing BRD's and FRD's.
