BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERNAL OPERATIONS, LEAN, SIX SIGMA

ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Business Analyst who will be involved in one of the largest and most crucial strategic projects to drive operational improvements within our client's European division.

You will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders to identify operational opportunities and to deliver the business case for making these changes. You will coordinate all activities relating to internal operational processes and work with teams to help them understand and improve the effectiveness of their work.

The successful candidate will have worked at a senior level in reviewing, analysing and amending internal processes on a global scale. You will ideally have some project management life cycle understanding and have strong Lean/Six Sigma experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with the business to identify opportunities for standardisation, improvement, automation or relocation of processes within the business case during opportunity assessment
- Develop sustainable solutions leading to bottom line benefit of using a specific internal operational method, and implement new processes and good operational management through working closely with project management teams
- Work with stakeholders to ensure understanding and support for proposed solutions
- engage with the business and project team to deliver the project objectives as defined by the business case
- Assess the capability of operational management within countries/business units and deliver training and coaching to deliver improvements
- Implement operational projects to time, cost, quality and scope
- Conduct detailed analysis across the business areas
- Facilitate workshops
- Document and present process flows/diagrams, analyses and suggests improvements
- Document business requirements, prepare feasibility studies, and facilitate business process re-engineering and solution design
- Clearly define measurable success criteria and articulate project benefits and costs
- Quantify costs and benefits of solutions and contribute to the creation of business cases
- Contribute to the development of the project business case providing necessary detail on the existing operations and the benefit of any changes
- During delivery, advise if design or solution impacts the agreed project scope and produce a change requests as required in support of any required change
- Support project managers in designing, planning and implementing change projects

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong experience of successful Lean/operations project deliver
- Operations management experience - at Ops Manager/Head Of level
- Experience of working within financial services (insurance industry preferable
- Educated to degree level
- Project management tool experience such as Microsoft Project would be highly advantageous
- Business Analyst/operations lead with experience of multiple business change initiatives
- Experience of facilitating workshops and conducting interviews with stakeholders at all levels
- Lean facilitation skills and knowledge of Lean process improvement tools and approaches
- Experience in documenting and presenting process flows/diagrams
- Understanding and experience of the full project life cycle
- Good knowledge of change management principles and methodologies with experience in role, process and systems transformations
- Ability to find innovative ways of solving or preempting problems
- Fluency in Dutch and English
