Business Analyst (Insurance)

Projektbeschreibung

This is a temporary position for an experienced business analyst to join the IT department. The chosen applicant will work with IT and business stakeholders to identify and document business requirements and project scope. Applicants should be comfortable with a varying role during all phases of the project life cycle, particularly business analysis and testing.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

*Engage with business units to identify business needs and requirements
*Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and technical teams
*Document business requirements clearly and concisely to a low level of detail
*Perform impact assessment across all functions and systems
*Input to and review functional and technical specifications
*Support technical analysts in delivery of requirements and technical assessments
*Create and execute IT system test plans, to ensure technical design fully meets business needs
*User acceptance test support
*Post production implementation support

Technical Competencies:

*Minimum of 7 years' experience in business analyst role
*5 + years' Life Insurance experience is essential
*5+ years' LiFE/400 experience required including Query/400
*Proven experience of producing detailed requirement documentation/functional specifications
*Ability to perform cross system impact assessment
*Proven experience of producing and executing detailed test plans
*Detailed knowledge of life insurance products
*Ability to understand and interpret end to end business process
*Web based requirements and test experience an advantage
*Experience of automated test tools an advantage
*Knowledge of document management systems, workflow and calculation systems an advantage
*Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

*Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
*Strong attention to detail
*Comfortable with technical and mathematical subjects
*Strong stakeholder management and supplier management skills
*Experience of running business requirement workshops
*Must be flexible, proactive and focused in approach to work
*Enjoy working as part of a team but also be equally capable of working under own initiative
*Self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer satisfaction
