BUSINESS ANALYST REQUIRED WITH GOVERNANCE epxerience, to work on a long term project at a major Bank in Switzerland.
PURPOSE:
The incumbent is part of the Information Governance team in IMS-Information
- identify information assets and develop, own and maintain a corporate information asset register;
- suggest improvements to processes and systems and promote best practices in structuring, storing, managing and governing information efficiently through its life cycle to maximise value and minimise information security risks;
- to support the asset owners in the business in information governance matters and monitor, assess and improve Bank-wide guidelines and best practices;
- promote staff awareness on information governance standards, guidelines and best practices;
- Share responsibility for the deployment and administration of the Bank's centrally managed Information Management and Collaboration tools, in line with applicable regulations and objectives;
- Contribute to or lead the development and implementation of strategic information governance initiatives;
- Contribute to or lead the development of policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Contribute to or lead unit and bank wide project work on information management, records management and collaboration solutions;
- Foster continuous improvement in the operational practices associated with information management.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Expert skills in business analysis methodologies and tools with a demonstrable portfolio of relevant experience working directly with the business;
- Thorough understanding of information management and governance principles, and business support services;
- Proficient understanding of and experience working with enterprise content management systems ('ECM' - eg SharePoint);
- Experience in optimising structure of information on ECM systems would be an advantage; Business domain knowledge either in banking and finance or economics and statistical research would be an advantage;
- Good understanding of information security concepts, practices and tools;
- Good understanding of records management principles;
- Absolute discretion in treating confidential and restricted information;
- A good public speaker/trainer, who brings across clear messages in a convincing manner;
- An excellent team player with good communication and interpersonal skills;
- A hands-on, practical approach;
- Flexible, tactful and patient;
- 8+ years of relevant experience of which at least 5 years in the information management space ideally coming from a business or information architecture background.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A good level of higher education: information management, business administration and/or commercial education, or a related qualification;
LOCATION: Basel - Switzerland
DURATION: 1 year contract (evtl. Option for extension)
