For a project at our banking client site in Zurich we are looking for immediate support in the form of an experienced
BUSINESS ANALYST IN FINMA REPORTING (2355)
In this role you are the responsible subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with vendor and in-house developed applications and data in accordance with FINMA regulations. You document functional requirements, analyze requirements in the context of software and processes, develop test plans, assist with and document business process improvement efforts, and work with production issues. The main focus is standardization of reporting procedures within Investment Banking. Ideally you will have experience in that field.
The main job responsibilities are:
- Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
- Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.
- Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.
To be successful in this job, you have the following qualifications/experiences:
- Banking IT experience (especially in reporting or a broad product knowledge) with exposure to both the Business and IT highly desirable.
- EXPERIENCE IN OTC AND TAXATION REGULATION IS A BIG PLUS
- Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
- Experience with relevant tools and best practices eg Enterprise Architect, Use-case analysis, QualityCenter, JIRA, Subversion.
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Fluent English
