1. HIM BUSINESS ANALYST, TO BE PART OF THE EFFORT TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION PROCESS CHANGES IN THE SAME PROGRAM. - PAY RATE 55 HOURLY

HIM BUSINESS ANALYST- SUPPORT CLIENT'S ICD-10 TRANSITION BY ANALYSING CURRENT CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION PROCESSES AND TOOLS.  WORK WITH CLIENT PERSONNEL FROM VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS TO DEFINE AND UNDERSTAND CURRENT WORKFLOWS.  IDENTIFY ISSUES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT, AND IDENTIFY CHANGES REQUIRED TO SUPPORT ICD-10 CODING REQUIREMENTS.  CREATE FUNCTIONAL DESIGNS WHICH WILL ACT AS INPUT TO IT TEAM DEVELOPING AND MODIFYING SYSTEMS FOR ICD-10 COMPLIANCE. BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF HOSPITAL IN-PATIENT AND/OR AMBULATORY CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION AND CODING PROCESSES REQUIRED.   

Key skills include:
 Working with teams and individuals to capture and document current workflows and processes
 Ability to plan, facilitate, and manage small team work efforts & workshops
 Organized and self-directed
 Strong verbal and written communication skills
 Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications including: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio (or similar workflow documentation applications)
 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with diverse personality types

Desired experience includes:
 Experience in hospital in-patient and/or ambulatory HIM and Revenue Cycle operations
 Experience working with physicians and clinicians
 Consulting in business process and technology domains
 Managed or major role in complex improvement/implementation projects

Other:
 Ability for high level of out of town travel (4-5 days/week)
