Business Analyst - Government

A BUSINESS ANALYST is required to join one of our key clients to be responsible for a full range of business analysis activities including requirement documentation, facilitating workshops, reviewing functional specification, providing input to test strategy and test plans, and defect triaging.

The Business Analyst will be the functional expert and a key point of contact between the business units and the development team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Facilitate design and prototype workshops
- Manage users' expectation on scope and requirement to ensure no scope/requirement creep
- Document change requests that may be raised during the course of the project
- Document data migration requirements
- Review functional specification developed by the development vendor
- Input to the development of test strategy and test plans
- Analyse defects raised from testing against the specified business requirements
- Review Test Reports
- Act as the conduit between the business and the software development team (for requirement clarifications, etc)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- 5+ years in a similar business process development role preferably in a government sector
- Ability to critically evaluate business information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts
- Ability to decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Ability to develop and maintain sound relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Customer focused, self-motivated and result driven individual
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
