BUSINESS ANALYST- GLOBAL FINANCE IT CHANGE (TRADING)
SKILLS:
The candidates skill-set and experience should include:
- Participation in numerous FTB implementations across the project life cycle within the trading arm of an investment bank.
- A strong understanding and exposure to testing phase.
- Proven ability to work in a team of business process analysts.
- Proactive problem and task management.
- Product knowledge of FICC or EQ product knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Accounting skills and understanding of products pl accounting.
ROLE:
business analyst within GFIT CTB will be responsible for:
- Involvement in the definition of the target functional model (TFM) for the PC PL and control processes as well as upstream processes impacting Finance (eg. Data Quality & Integrity) during the change process design phase.
- Managing the identification and specification of all Finance functional change requirements.
- Ensuring that all controls necessary for the complete, accurate and appropriate data-flow are available throughout the front-to-back business and are fully defined and owned both within the change stream and ultimately by line resources.
- Ensuring that all functional changes are tested and that the performance of this specific control, as well as wider full process regression testing, adequately supports implementation signoff. This requires the consolidation, reporting and interpretation of test results.
- Managing the relationship between Finance and the key stakeholders in the business, including trading and logistics.
- Close liaison with other functions including Ops, Risk and IT
- Driving the resolution with stakeholders of issues identified during all project phases.
PRODUCT & PROCESS KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of front to back processes with particular emphasis on financial control.
- Exposure to FICC and/or EQ product set within a large financial institution.
- Knowledge of Financial Institutions and appreciation of their general target processing models.
- Knowledge of all aspects of the project life cycle.
BUSINESS & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Preferably Exposure to the Business and Technical aspects of Projects and the Project life cycle
- Exposure to SAP and SAP implementations is desirable
- Be competent in MicroSoft Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access, ideally Toad
- Understanding of front to back process integration.
- Exposure and understanding to database design.
- Accounting skills for range of banking products.
Required Background:
Essential Education University Graduate
Desirable Education:
University Graduate with a Financial or Accounting Degree
Professional Certificates (Desirable):
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA,CIMA)
Languages required:
German, English
