Business Analyst - Financial Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Project Team for a Business Analyst - Savings, Mortgages, Payments, Back Office and Ecommerce. We are currently undertaking an IT Transition project to a new provider. We require a business analyst with financial services experience (building society preferable) to develop a change process and define and manage change pre go live in February.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-To elicit and document current business processes in consultation with key business users
-Translate business requirements into a technical language
-Setting the business requirements that establish go live criteria and meet deliverables
-Interface between business departments and third party developers
-Define and document new requirements and development needs through direct liaison with internal and external stakeholders
-Working with business departments to understand the context of requirements
-Work with stakeholders to translate their technology needs
-Interface between operational and technical teams
-Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of business processes and make recommendations for improvements for customers benefit
-Identifying project requirements
-Writing project documentation for presentation to business and project stakeholders
-Assist in the management of change control.
-Facilitate the implementation and embedment of new business processes
-Business cases for value to business/customer
-Testing experience
-Interacting with suppliers and provide commercial experience and understanding

ESSENTIALS

-Experience working within the Financial Services
-Data migration experience
-Process management for mortgage and savings
-Project Management experience
-Retail Banking or Building Society knowledge
-Experience in creating functional and non-functional specifications
-Excellent stakeholder management, elicitation and influencing skills
-Proven experience of requirements gathering
-Experience in process design/mapping
-Understanding of change management principles
-Excellent communication skills - written and oral
-Attention to detail
