Business Analyst - Federal Government - Agile Software

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced BUSINESS ANALYST A to join a large Federal Government Department. You will be responsible for leading the development of a culture that promotes staff productivity through the improvement of business processes.

Duties will include:

- Develop business requirements for ICT software development projects
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to current processes by performing both quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Identify dependencies, transitions and integration points with preceding and downstream processes to understand overall benefits, challenges and impacts;
- Liaise with internal business clients to understand their current Processes
- Prepare business process mapping documents (eg use cases, flowcharts and requirements specifications)

Skills and experience required to be considered for this position:

- Experience working in Agile Software development life cycle
- Experience in business process re-engineering, policy and procedures
- Business and functional requirements gathering, documentation and signoff
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- High organisational skills and ability to multi-task at once in order to meet demanding deadlines

This role will initially be until 30/12/2013 with the possibility of a 6 Month extension being offered.
