Business Analyst (f/m)

Starting date: 1st of March 2016
Length of the contract: 12 Months with possibility of extension

Task description:
*Supports the business area in analysing and documenting the user requirements, ensures together with IT architects and IS security experts that the IT solution meets the user requirements and complies with the IT principles
*Establishes the functional specifications, data sources analysis and data modelling, co-ordinates user acceptance testing and supports the drafting of the business areas IT project related documentation
*Organises internal workshops and co-ordination of project stakeholders
*Formulates service level requirements based on end-user input
*Develops business cases and approaches/methodologies to the analysis work
*Models business processes on the basis of tools such as Aris and model data on the basis of tools such as Erwin or Power Amc Designer, with the underlying understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) architectural principles, including the translation of transformation rules between logical data layers such as Data Ware House and Data Marts

Your profile:
*Engineering and design experience
*Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, information system security, or related disciplines
*Experience in translation of business needs into specifications and finally in the definition of the solution, ideally in the financial, banking or insurance sector
*Experience using test management tools (ideally HP-ALM) as a Business Analyst
*Knowledge on data formats (database and XML data format), reporting (e.g. SAP BO) tools, ETL (e.g. Informatica) - usage of Analysts features for ETL tools (e.g.: workflow designer, metadata manager) would be ideal
*Basic knowledge on Data Life Cycle within a Business Intelligence (BI) system and main types (patterns) of Business Intelligence Solutions (Architectures)
*A working knowledge of MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
*Good command of English with proven drafting ability
