Business Analyst (EDI)

A Multi-National Managed Services organisation specialising in B2B are looking for a contract EDI Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will be a member of the Strategic Customer Implementation team, working on a number of signature products. The Business Analyst will have extensive work experience as a liaison among project stakeholders in eliciting, analysing, communicating and validating requirements for changes to business processes, policies and B2B solutions.

The Business Analyst will also provide technical advice/support and mentoring to staff members on system and business knowledge, guidelines and procedures in order to contribute to project proficiency. 

Key Responsibilities include:

- Investigates, evaluates and analyses problems and business requirements, including the impact on systems, processes, resources and customers across all functional areas. Co-ordinates the development, enhancement, and maintenance of system solutions to meet business needs, including the implementation of new systems and system changes.
- Provides technical advice/support  and direction to internal and external users to ensure the effective and efficient communication and resolution of issues, and to help others to progress and optimize their performance.
- Determines scope and prepares detailed requirements for new development and maintenance projects to ensure business needs are met.
- Co-ordinates the testing of delivered systems solutions and monitors systems after implementation to ensure they satisfy requirements. Develops and adheres to testing guidelines and best practices.
- Provides technical leadership on projects to ensure technical work meets business needs and is completed within timelines.

Job Requirements:

- Prior experience of EDI is essential.
- Experience with customer or technology related projects as a business analysis in a customer interfacing role.
- Working knowledge of electronic payment processing (payments, remittance advice, bank acknowledgements, bank returns, bank statements, treasury management)
- Working knowledge of EDI (X12 and EDIFACT formats)
- Moderate SQL experience
- Experience with MS Project and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Willing and able to occasionally travel as required.
- Proven ability to provide guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project objectives.
