For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a

Business Analyst in Delivery Management

Location: Zurich

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Languages: English

ROLE OVERVIEW

HYBRID ROLE OF DELIVERY MANAGER AND BUSINESS ANALYST

- Will be the primary interface between IT and other senior stakeholders on the business side
- Needs some knowledge of trading and financial instruments, including front to back processing
- Will be working with a 3rd party system in a small team with developers in Zurich and an offshore test team in Poland
- Application is being rolled out globally (Zurich, London, and APAC)
- A knowledge of .NET IT projects would be helpful
- Interfaces with different systems including a Mainframe team (German would be helpful for this but is not a must have)

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

- Push forward this project which is delayed and under time pressure (delivery management)
- Elicit, analyse, document and validate business requirements, conditions and priorities within an application development project
- Ensure that specified requirements are transmitted entirely and correctly to the development and test team members by writing clear and detailed functional specifications
- Manage dependencies around the delivery of the solutions
- Supports developers and testers by resolving business issues that come up during the technical implementation
- Supports the test team in testing activities, when necessary
- Provide clear project status communication to all stakeholders

MUST HAVE SKILLS

- Degree at university level (preferably in IT or Banking)
- 6 or more years of experience in requirements engineering in application development projects
- Experience in banking or finance Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong communications and customer orientation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Soft skills to handle stakeholders with different background (Business Project Managers, User Representatives, Programmers, Offshore resources, Testers etc.)

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

- Experience in international projects with remote teams
- Lombard Loans
- German
