Business Analyst
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Languages: English (French or Dutch is a plus)
Tasks
Allow for localization and enhancements of the software packages or platform developments justified by a business case enabling better business capabilities
Validate and challenge solutions and estimations proposed by software suppliers and integrators
Create corresponding functional requirements as an input to application design
Design solutions and validate functional specification documents from the software suppliers
Organize and assist the testing phases in the release cycles of the supported applications, in cooperation with the integrators and software suppliers
Coordinate with all parties involved (local and regional IT & business, suppliers and integrators) throughout the release cycle of the supported applications, from requirement to roll-out
Support the Change Management team (Communication, Organization Transformation, provide the application training content for end users, ...)
Experience
Mandatory prior experience of 3-5 years in Retail Operations and/or Marketing projects
Good working knowledge of Marketing processes (Loyalty, Promotions, Campaign Management, etc.), in a complex environment
Experience in data science or big data projects, preferably on Azure Analytics.
Clearly demonstrated expertise in requirements definition
Effective in delivering presentations and running meetings
Technical knowledge and skills
Mandatory:
Knowledge of Retail and Loyalty/Marketing or digital business processes and solutions
Experience with big data and data science solutions
IT experience in Retail and Marketing or Digital environments
Experience in defining detailed business requirements and basic technical specifications (interfaces ie)
Able to read, understand, challenge and update functional specification documents, release notes, and technical documentation
Working experience in standard IT processes (change management, release management, incident management, project management)
Understanding of potential impacts on cross functional processes
Aptitude and willingness to acquire technical knowledge of the applications used within the organisation
Excellent command of Microsoft solutions (Office, Project, Visio)
Desired:
Knowledge of/experience with Personalisation in Loyalty & Promotion
Experience in both small and large projects, in a Matrix organisation
