Business Analyst - Data Quality

Our client a major multinational within the insurance sector has an immediate contract offering for a Functional Business Analyst within the data quality field. This a six month contract with possibility to extend. 

GENERAL SCOPE/MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The IT Business Analyst will participate in the development and management of project plans related to the application development initiatives, from project planning and design through testing, implementation and maintenance. Responsibility for educating project team members and the business community on the impact of the technology proposed (eg infrastructure) and for articulating strategy and developing contingency plans.  In addition, the IT BA will be responsible for the participation, collection, analysis, documentation and redesign of business needs and requirements.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Business Planning: Data Quality, improve business processes; Project Management (develop plans), Change Management, stakeholder engagament
- Cost Benefit Analysis, 
- Business Requirements Development: Develops/evaluates business specifications and understands system/business to redefine business process when necessary. Assists in the development of technical specifications. Participates or leads in the scoping, requirements gathering and solution design phases of assignments/projects.
- Quality Assurance: Defines and consults on the application of business analysis, testing tool, and project methodologies.
- Provide a strategic view of system design decisions that may impact either the business or the solution being delivered.
- Solution Design: Work with the technical architect and team to ensure the solution design meets both the current business requirements, 
- Work with the Data Controller to ensure data processing and storage is within the Company Data Protection and Security Policy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES:

- Minimum of 3-5 years experience working in the Financial Services Sector with relevant technical work experience.
- Experinece within DATA QUALITY, DATA ANALYSIS - BPMN, UML, 
- experience do you have with business process modelling
- IT Degree, technical training or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge & experience of AGILE METHODOLOGIES would be an advantage

PROJECT PLANNING/MANAGEMENT:

- Advanced understanding of project management principles
- Experience in multi-departmental, multi-year initiatives
- Requires experience/indepth knowledge of business operations, requirements processing, business modelling concepts, information systems and software development life cycle knowledge and business process development or redesign.
- RELATIONSHIPS:
- Ability to handle complex negotiations and to balance priorities across stakeholders.
