Business Analyst - Data Migration (Teradata/SAS)

HUDSON IT & TELECOMS ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING A CONTRACT BUSINESS ANALYST TO WORK ON A SYSTEMS MIGRATION AND CREDIT RISK PROJECT UNDERWAY. RETAIL BANKING SECTOR BACKGROUND AND EXPOSURE TO TERADATA AND SAS REQUIRED.

BACKGROUND

My Client is running a project to introduce a Collections Decision Engine (DE) to automate the management of collections cases in their Asset Management Unit. The DE will dynamically reclassify collections cases and associated next actions based on strategies defined by credit risk. The project is currently in technical delivery phase and is currently considering how to migrate collections cases from the current ptsb source system to the new solution.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The project is looking for a credit risk business analyst with a technical background to work with the IT team and the Decision Engine delivery team to:

- Analyse the current state and data quality of collection case codes for cases held on IT systems
- Map status codes from source system to target system
- Interpret the impact of collections strategies against the customer base
- Design and build migration scripts to move collections case status codes to the codes in the target system

TECHNOLOGY:

- Decision Engine - SAS technology
- Data warehouse (including Decision Engine Datamart) - Teradata

IDEAL SKILL PROFILE:

- Credit Risk analysis skills including collections strategies
- Strong BA skills
- SQL experience
- Teradata SQL or Teradata platform experience
- Creation of analytical data sets
- Creation of ad-hoc reports

Start date - end of June 2013 - 3 month contract initially with a view to extension.
