Business Analyst / Data / Chicago Contract

Experienced Business Analyst needed at a top tier investment bank to analyze and implement consistent strategic data security and data privacy controls across their Compliance organization. This is a contract position located in downtown Chicago. In this highly visible role you will liaise across senior business, development, and QA/Testing stakeholders to define and document the governance structure required to manage data masking/security across a broad range of applications and users. As a result you will gather and analyze the business requirements in order to translate them into functional specification documents, as well as assist in enforcing project deadlines and milestones. In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: - 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst - Experience working on Database, data conversion, and/or data analytics projects - Experience with business and functional specifications - Experience in analysis, mapping, and documenting requirements - 2+ years of experience in Data Masking/Data Privacy/Data Security - Financial Services Experience (in Regulatory or Compliance areas) - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field - NICE TO HAVE: Experience with data privacy, Oracle, MS SQL, XML This is a great opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst with excellent written and verbal communication skills that has working knowledge of data masking regulations, and is interested in taking ownership for the delivery of complex, mission-critical projects in a global environment.
