BUSINESS ANALYST
KEY SKILLS;Credit Risk, A Flare for Data
As Business Analyst, you are to support delivery of a large, complex and global change project within the CRO and CFO space.
Scope of this project is to get compliant with new FASB impairment guidance which will constitute changes in the accounting for credit losses on accrual accounting loans and commitments.
(The methods are already in place but need updating to new models of expected loss and new reporting and disclosure requirements).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying and documenting business requirements from key business stakeholders, namely from CFO and Risk Methodology team.
- Drive exchange with SMEs and coordinate project delivery to ensure that the needs of business stakeholders are met.
- Working jointly with IT and business organizations to implement effective business solutions.
- Support of the overall project delivery to ensure that all requirements are addressed.
- Working independently under the guidance of a senior project lead.
- Working effectively in and leading working groups with diverse Business stakeholders to ensure requirements and priorities are successfully met.
- Providing up-to-date status report throughout the release cycle.
- Managing business testing and user acceptance testing activity.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
- Excellent business analysis experience within banking and financial services, including specification of business requirements.
- Understanding and experience in risk methodologies and models.
- Experience in credit risk implementations.
- Understanding data related to Credit Risk and Credit Risk Models.
- Effective stakeholder management, experience in facing senior business stakeholders, and ability to engage with quantitative experts.
- Proficient in English
DESIRED:
- Strong relationship building skills as well as an ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships, key stakeholders and clients.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; numerically competent
- Familiarity with business processes, financial products, credit risk management and regulatory requirements
