For our customer project within a large financial institution, we are looking for a

BUSINESS ANALYST - CORPORATE LIFE & PENSION INSURANCE (2509)

The first contract will be three months. Project duration however is much longer and the contract is likely to be extended

In this position you will act as a liaison between Business and IT, supporting the Lead Business Analyst on a "Life & Pensions" project.

You will collaborate closely with key business stakeholders, gather and accurately document business requirements and discuss requirements with relevant IT solution architect and system application owners.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INVOLVE:

- Understand the project's objectives and scope, as well as the target business processes
- Drive requirements gathering, analysis and definition
- Work with Lead Business Analyst to ensure requirements across project are traceable and consistent
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and get appropriate sign off
- Support Application owner's in creating the Conceptual Design of a system, where appropriate, and validating design against the business requirements
- Perform impact analysis of application changes
- Create or validate test cases for impacted applications, and test that business requirements are implemented correctly
- Update process documentation or user guidelines with application changes

TO FULFIL THESE TASKS YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCES:

- Minimum 4 years experience as Business Analyst or similar experience
- Proven experience in requirement gathering and documentation or requirements engineering
- Experience in working across multiple geographies and with a broad section of stakeholders
- Ability to work at a detail level, but also explain and discuss high level concepts with stakeholders
- Self-reliant and pro-active personality which is focused on being productive and contributing value to the organization
- KNOWLEDGE OF THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY AND ITS PRODUCTS WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
- Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills as well as stakeholder management skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- You're a dedicated Team player
