BUSINESS ANALYST CORPORATE ACTIONS, TAXATION: BANKING, BRUSSELS

BACKGROUND

The department that ensures the competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets is looking for a Business analyst with a corporate actions and taxation background.
The technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. They deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and ensure applicative production support.
Their non-technical people maintain the maturity of the IT project delivery with appropriate controls in line with the group's risk appetite and reducing development and running costs.

The chosen candidate will be expected to:

? produce detailed business requirements:
- you write the detailed business requirement in a complete and non-ambiguous way (following the EB methodology)
- you understand the needs of the business (internal and external users)
- you analyze the impact and the risks of a new service development on the current system
- you are able to make the business aware of their own interests and the implications of their decision or request
- you identify, describe and validate business solutions to meet clients and end users requirements
- you pay attention to have the right trade-off between quality, cost and timeliness

? facilitate communication between the business and the IT teams during the project delivery phase
? be involved in the testing of the designed solution:
- you define the scope of the testing
- you develop business test scenarios and review test cases prepared by testers
- you participate to the test execution handled by testers to ensure that requirements have been correctly implemented
- you provide support to the end-users during the User Acceptance Test (UAT)

You must have:

? a minimum of five experience as Business Analyst
? high level of autonomy, especially for the Business Analysis tasks
? knowledge ofTAX BUSINESS DOMAIN(tax processing on European markets)
? knowledge ofCORPORATE ACTIONprocessing
? very good written and spoken English

You will also have:
? critical thinking skills (evaluate multiple options to settle on a solution)
? flexibility to quickly adapt in case of unexpected change of priority
? excellent communication skills: present information clearly and concisely, provide regular information on status and issues
? strong negotiation and conflict management skills
? organisational skills and capacity to work autonomously

You will be able to:
? build constructive relationships with all stakeholders, both inside and outside of the bank (IT, Product BAs, Operations,...)
? organise/drive meetings with Senior people from various Divisions
? create clear and concise documentation (business requirements specifications and other documentation)
? communicate with technical projects teams
? manage changes and conflicting priorities
? find solutions that meet clients needs
? share knowledge and expertise with others

Nice to have would be:
? experience with external/outsourcing provider
? experience in Financial sector

Location: Brussels

Salary: 550-600 Euros per day negotiable

Start date: immediate

Duration: 6-12 months renewable
