BUSINESS ANALYST - CORE FINANCE PROCESSES - BIRMINGHAM

My client is urgently seeking a Business Analyst to provide support across a key transformation programme.

The Business Analyst will provide project support by interfacing between the business and the technical teams regarding business requirements and change solutions

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Capturing and clarifying business change needs for Finance and Procurement processes
- Translating business needs in to tangible, measurable requirements
- Enabling technical assessment
- Identify, plan and produce data required to validate requirements.
- Drive the production of appropriate test plans by business teams and use these to carry-out QA testing prior to engaging business teams for acceptance testing
- Agree the key project objectives and assumptions with the PM, ensuring that formalised needs and requirements remain aligned with the project goal throughout the life cycle
- Development of process flow charts and RACI documentation

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- A thorough understanding of core finance processes - Accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, reconciliation, banking, reporting
- A thorough understanding of Prince2 methodology
- Knowledge of MS Office suite to intermediate level including MS Visio
- Competent in using structured project processes and documentation
- Good presentation skills - Able to summarise key structures and processes by drawing and talking through with stakeholders to identify pains/opportunities
- Dynamics ERP (AX/GP/NAV) experience.
