Business Analyst Commodity Trading

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, an international soft-commodity trader, located in the Amsterdam Area, is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst for the implementation of a trading and Accounting System.

This implementation is within the trader departments (15 employees) and the finance, control and Risk departments.

As a Senior Business Analyst you are responsible for analysing the wishes of traders and the translation to business and functional requirements. Due to these requirements, software developers are able to deliver software request. You understand the trader cycle (from purchase, transport and delivering) and the futures/currency trading instruments. You also have experience with soft-commodities (coffee, cacao) and have a good understanding of the trading business. You are able to 'slice/dice'' to sharp specifications. Experience in setting up of business, functional and technical requirements are essential. Good understanding of accounting and transfers.

You have experience with suppliers and are used to working with planning and detailed (delivery/test) scripts for business users.

- You are responsible for organizing meetings and gaining information
- You are responsible for your own planning, progress, quality, cost control and the deliverables

JOB DEMANDS:

- More than 5 year experience with implementations of trading/commodity/financial systems: design to construction, testing and implementation.
- More than 10 years' experience in business analysing
- Good knowledge of supply-chain from purchase, transport to delivering
- Good knowledge of (commodity) futures;
- Knowlegde of the NL GAAP or US GAAP OR IFRS, financial administrations and risk rapports for commodity trading;
-Knowlegde of Prince 2
- You have a get-it-done mentality;
