BUSINESS ANALYST (COGNOS REPORTING)

For one of Europe's and Netherlands's largest banking clients, we are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise with Cognos report builder. This will be a stable 12 months' contract in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Paying excellent rates (Possible extensions).

THE INFORMATION/BUSINESS ANALYST FUNCTION:

You identify, analyze and specify business requirements with regard to non-financial risk reporting and translate them into user stories or functional specification/designs. In this specific function you are also supposed to design, create and update Cognos based reports.

THE IDEAL BUSINESS ANALYST WILL HAVE 75% OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERTISE:

- Knows what it takes to apply knowledge to market demands, makes complex analysis and translates business requirements into clear and to-the-point user stories;
- Has excellent understanding of Information Technology to be able to create functional specifications and has the practical knowledge to design, create and update Cognos reports;
- Has a seasoned understanding of Compliance and Operational Risk processes and systems;
- Has experience with Data Warehouses;
- Makes connections between customer requirements, corporate strategy and longer term vision;
- Understands and supports the agile way of working;
- Uses indirect influence and understands political relationships within the company;
- Has the natural seniority to make a direct impact on the direction of the squad and chapter;
- Looks for challenges and encourages people to improve;
- Performs at HBO or academic level;
- Has an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- You are a team player, with good communication skills and experience in working in Bus/Dev/Ops scrum teams. You know what it takes to act as Business/Information Analyst, also focusing on craftsmanship, continuous improvement opportunities and personal development. You also like to build and maintain reports. You deliver on promises and are capable to follow up on short and strict deadlines.
