Business Analyst, BI Projects, Bank, Brussels

Objective:

The Business Intelligence team at my client, an international Bank based in Brussels, is in charge of the development of Management Reports. The team comprises Business Analysts, Designers and Developers -we are now looking for an additional Business Analyst to be the interface between the bank's internal clients and our development teams.

TASKS:

Gather the business requirements:

° Drive meetings with internal clients to collect their needs;
° Analyse these business needs;
° Translate them into realistic, clear and complete functional requirements;
° Formalize them into the bank's standard project documents;
° Check whether the needed data already exists in the Data Warehouse or whether a new development is required;
° Understand the data model created by the designer and assess whether it fulfils the client's need;
° Maintain the business glossary and the data catalogue so the end users can build their own reports.

Subsequently, to support the testing phase, you will:

° Define the testing scope;
° Create the test scenarios that will be done by the end users;
° Review the test cases prepared by the testers;
° Ensure that the requirements have been correctly implemented thanks to your involvement in the test execution handled by the testers;
° Provide support during the User Acceptance Test (UAT).

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 4 years experience in Business Intelligence as Business Analyst.

° Must have good interpersonal skills;
° Well organised, able to provide information about projects status and issues;
° Experience in the banking/financial sector.
