Business Analyst (BI/GIS) - Dutch Speaking

The Network Management Information System ( NIS ) is a Business Intelligence ( BI ) system that collects management information on all three networks ( HWN, HVWN and HWS ). Since 2005, the NIS is the main internal control tool for RWS for the networks.

The NIS team retrieves the required information from source files ( operational applications ), infers the requested information products and make it with the underlying information RWS widely available through a portal on the Intranet.

The NIS team consists of business analysts who demand bundling from the RWS management do. In addition, the NIS team information analysts who develop information requirements in specifications for "information production ' from the source files to the NIS. In addition, make the information analysts analyzes based on the information provided and make specialized information products, as well as in tabel-/grafiek-vorm in map form ( GIS analysis ).

The NIS system consists of off-the - shelf software ( SAS BI platform and Oracle database ) and is managed and developed by the BI team at the Central Information Services ( RWS CIV ). For the analysis and presentation of geographic information in addition to NIS team uses ArcGIS, the RWS geo - database, the RWS RWS map viewer and image bank

The team is working to continuously improve the process: as we work since October 2011, according to agile scrum process, making our productivity, flexibility and efficiency has increased significantly.

Tasks/activities:

For new structural questions from the RWS management you with the business analyst is responsible for setting up a new production line information;

Minimum completed training/expertise:

HBO/University ( rounded education );
Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence systems;
Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS analyzes;
Experience with agile/scrum methodologies is a plus;
Experience with information within the government.
Minimum relevant experience
Business Intelligence area, at least 5 years;
Field GIS analyzes, a minimum of 2 years;
Government Area, at least 2 years.
